I used many different tools in the process of tidying up my chosen piece of artwork. These tools included the move tool, lasso tool, magic stamp tool, marquee square tool, and the transform tool. In the original piece, "The Great Wave Off Kanagawa", many elements and principles of design were used to create the image of a wave. These include colour (helps to show contrast between parts of wave), shape (many different shapes were included in the formation of the wave) and movement (the wave was painted in motion, adding excitement). In the new, "tidied up" version of the picture, many of the same elements and principles of design were used, along with others. Shape was demonstrated again by taking pieces of the wave and reorganizing them into different shapes. Unity is shown by the way that the pieces of the original picture were sorted (by colour) and appear to meet in the middle of the picture. Colour is also shown again, by the way that the pieces are sorted into coloured groups.
